REFUGIADOS ANÓNIMOS

ANONYMOUS REFUGEES
​Las personas que participaron en este proyecto fueron mujeres, hombres y niños, que solicitaron protección internacional en España desde 2008 hasta 2013. Procedían de países devastados por la guerra o donde las autoridades no pudieron o no quisieron garantizar su seguridad
Todos ellos vivieron temporalmente en el Centro de Refugiados en Vallecas (CAR) Madrid.

En sus retratos, posan exactamente en la misma posición que los refugiados famosos, Einstein, Chaplin, Gerda Taro ... quienes también tuvieron que escapar de la persecución y buscar refugio en otros países, para comenzar una nueva vida y garantizar la seguridad que les fue negada en sus propios países.

Sus retratos anónimos dan identidad y visibilidad a las personas que tan solo son un número en las estadísticas de refugiados.
Las palabras que acompañan sus retratos dan voz a sus experiencias.

Son personas que están obligadas a hacer un esfuerzo constante para superar obstáculos, y aunque no han elegido libremente estar en España, diluyen lentamente lo mejor de su mundo en nuestra propia sociedad.
T​he people  taking  part in this project are refugees- women. men and children- who have requested international protection in Spain from 2008 till 2013. They come from war-torn countries or where the autorities can’t, or don’t want to garantee their safety.
All of them have lived temporarily in the Refugees Centre in Vallecas(CAR) Madrid.

In their portraits they are exactly in the same pose as the famous refugges: Einstein, Chaplin, Gerda Taro...who also had to scape from persecution and they had to find refuge in other countries, in order to start a new life and regain the security that was denied them in their own lands.

The portraits of thes anonymous refugees give identity and visibility to people who are only a number in the refugees stadistics.
Their words accompanying the portraits, give voice to their experiences.

They are people who are obliged to make a constant effort to overcome obstacles, and even though they have not freely chosen to be in Spain, ​they are slowly bringing the best of their worlds to our own society.
